Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico; Greg Harrell grew up and graduated from High School in Cloudcroft before going to the U. S. Coast Guard Academy, where he learned many valuable things. After establishing a Rail Road career (and working for a while as an Air Traffic Controller), Greg - along with his lovely wife Marietta - began their own business in 2000, which continues to successfully serve the rail industry.
Upon joining our congregation in worship first time at the of 2001, the Harrell's have played an important role beginning especially during our church construction project that year, along with our many other gifted volunteers; after which they began serving in more spiritual ways by using their home for Verse by Verse Bible Studies as well as through strengthening couples' relationships with the Marriage Course they have written called, "A CORD OF THREE STRANDS."
In '08, Greg Harrell was ordained here as an Elder, a role which he serves faithfully in every week. With their company offices nearby, our congregation is blessed by his being able serve us more conveniently.
In his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with Marietta on their ranch, hiking and working with cattle. (The Harrell's have been married since '92). They have two beautiful daughters, Morgan and Lindsey, as well as two wonderful grandchildren.
Marietta serves faithfully as Greg's business partner and as Elder's wife here at Generations. She is a creative writer with an ear to hear and deliver encouraging words in season. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with Greg and working the land on their ranch with a Bobcat Skidster.
